Just in case you are wondering, let us confirm this – Yes, you’ve come to the right place in the blogosphere! RecruitingArsenal is a corporate HR blog from the crazy folks (or may we say peeps?) at AGResearch. It’s our “War for Talent” expression. We are knee deep EVERY DAY into everything and anything that goes into finding and recruiting great talent. And collectively, we’ve been doing it for a while now. Our blog posts unravel stuff on Research, Name Generation, Competitive Intel, Sourcing, Candidate Development, Screening, Recruiting and all that jazz. Each of us has individual expertise in an area closest to our hearts but as a team we cover the spectrum of industries and functions. Nothing fazes us anymore and we love being surprised every day with new project requests. We’re going to arm you with stuff that we hope you find useful, or that will make you think beyond that last click or candidate you spoke with. We expect to evoke a laugh or two to break the monotony of your work day and also share ideas and resources you can leverage in your everyday professional role. So visit and visit often. And do let us hear from you! We can’t wait to hear what you have to say!

IT/Systems Coordinator |

My sense of humor is a little skewed, my ability to interact with people is a little introverted and I really don’t have much to say, not even about my work, and when it comes to my “specialty” or “field of expertise” well that’s relative. I’m good at what I do, I enjoy what I do, and I thrive on how adaptable I am to the ever changing dynamics of my profession. I am the IT/Systems Coordinator for the best company in the world and MAGIC happens when I’m around. |

I am the Team Leader for Life Sciences. After spending 12 years in the United States Army in military intelligence, I began my career in executive recruiting as an associate with a boutique retained search firm in Virginia in 1996, eventually becoming the Director of Research. I joined AGR in 2005 to lead the firm’s research activities in pharmaceuticals, biotech and medical devices. I am an avid amateur historian and writer, with interests in genealogy, archaeology and the US Civil War.
Arrgh, that was boring. Let’s re-write that for a fun read!
I am a Life Sciences recruiter and name generation whiz who can copy Morse code at more than 20 groups per minute thanks to my military intelligence training in the US Army. I am an avid collector of useless knowledge about history, genealogy and archaeology. Also have a penchant for cluttering up living space with neat rocks, old bottles, and metallic debris.

I’ve invested over 20 years in this crazy business and have been blessed to have worked at levels that should qualify me as at least enough of a ‘player’ to have experiences and perspective worthy of commentary. (Sector leader for a top 4 global firm; completed over 75 board and/or CEO searches; 10+ searches for those ‘horrible’ examples of capitalistic excess…compensation over $10 million, dozens in the mere-7-figures and hundreds of equally critical players that make up the six-figure masses.) |

Research |
 |
Full-time Research Associate in the recruiting industry and information addict that believes life is better lived when you know a little about a lot. In late 2008 when the economy prepared for its final decent I insistently felt the need to know what was happening outside of my birthplace and current hometown Cleveland, OH. Global news sources became essential as I endeavored, and continue to endeavor to stay informed about the latest events. Through the process of regularly seeking new information I’ve re-confirmed my belief in the importance of a sense of humor, while learning new skills that help me live a more fulfilling life. Outside of work I continually take on new projects most of which involve some sort of building or carpentry – maybe a three bedroom birdhouse complete with stone façade, or a four person igloo with necessary fire pit and animal hide carpeting (synthetic of course), or possibly something practical like a new patio. I also enjoy running and whatever other exercise will balance my love for delicious food. |

Passionate about the web, I love to click and dig. Detail oriented, meticulous data-fanatic obsessive compulsive alien I am notorious for giving more than less. But ya’ll drive me crazy when you give me half the info. I want the whole nine yards if you want me to source. (Yeah, that’s even greater than the normal length of a Sari in India just f.y.i) Even tempered believer in the holistic approach to life and a “live and let live” policy except when it comes to my twins who as much as I try don’t adhere to my sad refrain of “Do as I tell you now!” I love to recycle and hate waste with a vengeance (Good luck saying this fast several times). I mean really, it annoys the crap out of me. All the excessive users can laugh now when I re-use the blank side of trashed office paper but your turn’s coming, just you wait suckers! “Waste not, want not. The less we waste now, the less we lack in the future.” Truly, “What You See Is What You Get” in me and in online data. Live and let live. |
